January 2019 Wrap-Up and February 2019 TBR

Janurary 2019 Wrap up & Feburary 2019 TBR

Hello my little munchkins. How are you all doing? I am doing well. It is Monday and I have officially started to get settled in my new schedule which is going okay I think personally. I mean I will have to schedule my time a lot more efficiently of lately compared to usual but I believe I can do it.

Anyways, why don’t we get into the post?

Books I Read:

Faerie Rising by A.E. Lowan- You can read the review HERE.

Beast of the Black Pond by Nancy Grace- A horror book that while scary will leave you with a nice calm sleep. You can check out the review HERE.

Behesians by Isaiyan Morrison Review- “The plot of the book was one of the best aspects of the book in my opinion. I love how it was a mix of both Paranormal Fantasy and Romance while all being a Young Adult book, and doing it successfully. That was the key point in my opinion of why this book was so addicting to read.”-ME

You can check out the review to this book HERE.

A Bargain in Silver (Solis Invicti #1) by Josie Jaffrey- “The plot was wonderfully constructed in terms of not being too cliche but also not being completely out of the world that you cannot understand it anymore. I honestly really enjoyed it due to how unique it was but along with how it all flowed smoothly. On the topic of flowing smoothly I believe that the pacing was set amazingly.”-ME

You can check the review out HERE.

An excerpt from Black Waltz by Yoshiyuki Ly, “You know all these things about me,” I said. “But I don’t know much about you. I want to know more.”

Stella shifted her shoulders, then her waist. Kind of like a snake. “Do you?” she challenged.

I raised my wrist above her head, pressing it against the wall. “Yeah, I do,” I said in her ear. I stayed over her, closer to her. “I know you’re a Black Waltz. I’m not on this side of campus too much… Seeing you now makes me wish I spent more time around here.” Stella’s eyes darkened as she stared up at me. “You saw the way I looked at you earlier. I’m attracted to you. I want you. I know you can tell.” I touched her waist, soft enough to not surprise her. Stella didn’t lean away from me. “For the record, I’m not trying to have sex with you tonight. I want to have an actual conversation with you. It doesn’t hurt to make things obvious to you now. I don’t want you to question my intentions.”

Stella wrapped her bare arms around my neck. “I don’t want you to question mine, either,” she spoke to me, bangles chiming. Her perfumed skin was so smooth. Her move put me on slow simmer, entranced. “But, don’t you think you should get to know me first before deciding if you want me? I could have strange fetishes, you know. Or I could be straight.”

I smirked at her. “Okay, fine. Do you have any weird fetishes? Are you straight?”

“I’m gay,” she replied. “Because of the way I look, people usually have a hard time believing that.” I understood what she meant, definitely. “As for my fetishes, I’m not sure.”

Now they both face an uncertain future and the very real threat of losing everything, including their lives.
