This is definitely a book for those who enjoy The Giver or The Maze Runner or Divergent. It is a dystopian book and just like how I mentioned if you found those books intriguing then you will most likely feel the same way about this book because you really get the feel of it.

The main characters of the story are Patch, Rexx, Oliver and Robbie. Patch is a strong female lead character. She is a character that I hope we can see in more stories just because of her amazing personality. Rexx is a little sweetheart. I wish we got to know more about his past like how we learned Patch. Hopefully in the sequel we can learn more about his personal past so we can feel even more for the him compared to what we just learned in the first book. He really was a great ying to patches yang. Oliver is a literal gem. Like word’s cannot even describe it. Oliver makes it seem that even in a terrible world that it isn’t all that bad. Lastly, Robbie is a character who isn’t my favorite but it a good character who I hope is in the sequel.

The plot was incredible. It actually really reminded me of 1984’s government or even The Divinity Bureau’s government. Where everything is ruled by a totalitarian government. Which even though in anyones case it would completely suck it did really well in the book. However, while there was a couple information dumps that changed the pacing of the book it was still a really good.

4/5 stars
