Hello my fellow little munchkins. How are you all doing? I am doing okay. I was able to see the new episode of This Is Us and lets just say that I am happy but not okay. But like when am I ever okay with this show. Literally. Like at all? This show can literally bring me to tears within seconds. Do any of you watch it? If so let me know in the comments below. I also wanted to remind you that I am doing fellow book lover interviews so if you are even slightly interested just send me an email and then we can get it all set up 🙂
Anyways, I had the lovely chance to interview the Jenn from BoundToWriting which you can find HERE. And a little side note she is not only a book blogger but also an author so you should totally go check out her book and see if it your type.
What made you want to start your book blog?
I was taking a class in my final semester of college and we had to read and review a book of choice. For the class, we had to run a blog and I thought the idea of writing about books was amazing.
What was the process of setting it up like?
Long and hard. I’m not the most tech-savvy person, so it took a lot of effort to set up my blog. I spent almost eight hours a day for an entire week working to set-up the different pages and formatting my blog.
What is one word that summarizes your blog?
Unique. Being that I’m also an author, I have aspects of writing as well as books on my blog.
Is there a quote from a book review you have done that something that summarizes your review style?
I’m pretty sure I’ve said in a book review that I have no idea what I’m doing. That would pretty much sum up my review style. I just go with the flow and let my thoughts and ideas take over.
How do you rate your book reviews?
I rate books mostly on gut feeling. My review system has been part of my blog since I started Bound to Writing so it has become part of me and how I think about books.
What is your favorite book?
I have so many favorites! By right now, my ultimate favorite is Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli! I will never stop raving about this book!
If you could meet a character for a day who would it be, why and what would you do?
I’d have to go with Simon from Simon vs! He is so fun and loving that I’m sure anything we’d do would be a blast. We’d probably spend time at Waffle House and eat Oreos. I may be hungry as I answer this question.
Do you have a color palette for your blog?
The main colors are orange, black and white. The secondary color is seafoam green!
What do you think is a unique feature of your blog compared to others?
As I mentioned in a previous answer, I think a unique feature is the writing section of my blog. My most unique segment is a short story, called Thanks to Science, I’ve been writing all year with the help of my readers. Each month I post a portion of the short story. I allow my readers to give feedback and have a chance for their idea to be used in the next segment. There are only a few segments left for this year, but it’s never too late to catch up!
What is your favorite blog post that you have done and can you include the link?
One of my favorite bookish blog posts is a review of another of my favorite books, Forever Disguised book 2 of the Angelheart Saga by Annie Woods! The book is so amazing and it definitely does not fall into second-book syndrome!
What is your blog logo and why is it that?
The logo for my blog is a page snapshot from one of my first books and the orange scheme of my blog. I was actually messing around Canva one day and it just happened. I fell in love with the design and have used it ever since.
Is there any information that you think is important about you and your blog that others should know?
I love to chat with other writers and book bloggers. Connecting with new people is a lot of fun, and I’m always available to chat if you need someone to talk to. I also love my animals (I have a cat, two guinea pigs, two hermit crabs, and a fish) they are my world and I do everything to give them the best life.
That is all for now. I hope you all liked this post and have a good day 🙂
