How I Read Book Tag

How I Read Book Tag (1)

Hello my fellow little munchkins. How are you all doing? I am doing well. As you may have noticed, I changed my blog name as I no longer want to be associated with J. K. Rowling. Anyways, why don’t we get into this book tag!

I saw this book tag on Confessions of a Pinay Bookaholic which you can find HERE.

How do you find about new books to read?

I usually find about new books to read either from book twitter or bookstagram. I used to find a chunk from Goodreads but I stopped using that to find book, but more to check out the books. I also sometimes, when I could go out, would go to a bookstore and just browse for an hour or three.

It all really depended on the time I have. I also find out about new books to read from author and publishers themselves. So I try and look for new books in a range of different ways.

How did you get into reading?

Right before my mother left our household, my dad would read the hunger games to and with me every night to improve my reading abilities because I was very monotone. After that I read the book a couple times, then the divergent series.

Then I was grounded, but I secretly snuck my 3-DS which I hooked up to the WiFi, and then found out about fan fiction. Went down that rabbit hole for awhile and then I found out about YA books as a whole and not just a couple series and then “wa la, this came to be”

How has your tastes in books changed as you got older?

My taste in books has hopefully gotten better as I have grown as a person, but one thing that I know that stuck with me as I grew up was my love for fantasy. For some reason, that I don’t know. I think it’s because it is out of this world and it allows for me to escape.

How often do you buy books?

I go on book buying sprees. Like, I try and not go out for months at a time but then once I am inside a bookstore even with a limit on the price I will find a way to get 20 books even if the budget was 100$. I go almost bargin shopping in a way. But nothing will be as bad as two days during and after my birthday when I spent 700$ on books, in two separate trips. I think I got at least 50 to 80 books in those two day, minimally.

How did you get into reviewing books?

I was honestly a lonely kid during my freshmen year of high school and I was watching booktube but I knew I was too shy to do that. And by shy I mean like talking to a camera. Something about that scared me a little, so then I created my blog and have been blogging since, even with my breaks.

How do you react when you don’t like the end of a book?

When I don’t like a book I don’t react much I just become genuinely disappointed and regret buying the book. Usually I will buy the book so if I didn’t like it I will almost for a split second feel like it was a waste of money.

How often do you take a sneak peek at the ending to see if there is a happy ending?

I almost always look at the last page of the book and read it. I have done that ever since I was a child but lately I have been doing better. I don’t think I have done that with a book in about a year but I have done that with TV shows and Movies alllllll the time.

I tag anyone who wants to do this tag!
