The Clown Book Tag

Love always wins.

Hello my fellow little munchkins! How are you all doing? I am doing well!

I am going to community college today and am taking my first test in my astronomy class and then my friend and I are going through colleges together and trying to narrow down the ones that we want to go to.

I am also starting a new theme on my instagram which you can find in the sidebar and am planning on a new blog post which will take some time to draft up.

Anyways, why don’t we get into this book tag already?

Clown Shoes:

“Clown shoes are usually over-sized and large, pick a book that was too long for you”

656.jpg

While I haven’t read the full book of War and Peace I would have to pick this book. Not just because it is soooooo long but because it is incredibly boring. I mean I have read a fare share of my classical books but still it’s one of the slowest books in all of the classics.

I mean first of all it is boring, there is no other way around that. I have tried to read it multiple times and have just never been able to get through the first 300 pages which I still see as a real accomplishment for at least this book.

Gloves:

“Gloves help to exaggerate effect, pick a book cover that is stunning.”

42505366

I personally love to find books with really pretty colors. Of course if the premise of the book doesn’t sound good to me then I won’t buy it but still I do LOVE me a stunning book cover. Thankfully there is plenty to choose from thanks to some amazing cover artists.

Especially those who don’t steal others content.

But my favorite book cover is the cover for Wilder Girls. I mean have you seen this gorgeous beauty yet? It is amazing and stunning and gorgeous and beautiful and I am running out of adjectives but that is besides that point.

Large Red Mouth:

“Clowns paint large red mouths to be larger than their lips, pick a book that is bloody.”

The Call. I mean the book is horror based but the things that happen to the characters is truly bloody and sad but also like I couldn’t stop turning the pages to see what was going to happen next and yeah. But that book was DEFintally bloody.

Red Rosy Cheeks:

“Clowns have red rosy cheeks to help show emotion, pick a book that created a strong emotion for you.”

A book that created strong emotions for me would be ALLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!

But really, the book would be the Infinite Nosies just because of everything. I mean the plot was really centered around emotions if you really think about it but when it comes to my ships I get extremely emotional in hope that they would get together and that was what happened to me.

Also, the X-Men relation to the world with the superpowers made me really emotional in how well it was written. To be honest I didn’t think that it was going to be in there at all after the first half of the book but when it showed up it was like a movie soundtrack just started in my head.

Bow Tie:

“Bow Ties add another dimension to a clowns shirt, name a favorite fantasy book.”

One of my favorite fantasy books would be Children of Blood and Bone just due to the sheer amazing-ness of it and the authors abilities but it could also be Grim Lovlies due to how  BEAUTIFUL THE COVER IS and also because of all the Infernal Devices themes I was getting from it which I absolutely loved. I would really have to say that this is a big ol’ draw.

Suspenders:

“Suspenders hold up the clowns pants, name a character/s that kept you reading a book.”

When I was reading the Shatter Me series I was mainly reading it to see what the big deal about Warner was and then I fell in love with him AND KENJI. So really somehow Kenji ended up stealing my heart just as much or even more then Warner did and I feel like that is truly amazing but I mean KENJI 😍😍😍.

Clown Eyes:

“Clowns paint on their eyes, name a book that has a surprise twist in it.”

For this book I will have to pick Sea Witch which both has a surprise twist to me but also a surprise premise.

I really went into it thinking that it was going to be an Ariel retelling and it wasn’t really until the very, very, very ending but it was a retelling based on another character entirely. This book was also a twist to me based on the cover because I kept on thinking it was a different character than who it was originally.

All-in-All this book was just big mind boggle to me but nonetheless I still loved it.

Clown Nose:

“The main feature of a clown is their noise, name your favorite book character.”

KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! KENJI! BUT REALLY IT IS KENJI FROM THE SHATTER ME SERIES! I WOULD LITERALLY LAY MY SOUL OUT FOR HIM.

Clown Wig:

“A Clown’s wig is full of all the colors from the rainbow, name a book with a LGBTQIA+ Character.”

I am going to go with Sawkill Girls. Which I do know is a weird answer but there is two main characters in that book who represent f/f relationships. Even though that book is mainly horror/thriller based it still has romance in it which is both amazing and very talented to be able to pull it through at least in my opinion.

  1. Thanks for the tag, I’m going to add it to my to-do list for before summer so I get round to doing it or otherwise I’m going to forget, especially since they’re a good set of questions.
Also, I haven’t read the Shatter Me series yet, although I have heard of it, what’s it about?

  2. War and Peace, I admit, I really do want to read this, but I’ve heard Moby Dick is the longest useless book that exists lol to quote my friend ‘it’s like 2 pages of action and 800 of nothing’ this was a really fun tag to read and I enjoyed seeing your answers!…I really just want to buy Wilder Girls at this point, it’s like the 5th post today I’ve read that has it, and that cover is gorgeous!

    1. Thank you so much for reading the post! I got Moby Dick awhile ago and started reading it and it is exactly the way your friend is saying. Really, if you don’t have to read it then don’t pick it up. You should 1000% buy Wilder Girls and if this blog post didn’t sell you over then you can always check out my review which is here https://thehufflepuffnerdette.wordpress.com/2019/06/29/wilder-girls-by-rory-power-review-im-literal-trash-for-this-book-❤%EF%B8%8F💜❤%EF%B8%8F/
